Cruise Day 11 - Heraklion, Crete

We took the shuttle which dropped us off outside of town. We then got in a taxi that brought us to the Knossos where the famous Palace ruins are. We explored for about an hour while the taxi driver waited. He was super friendly but spoke basically no English so we used his google translate to communicate. We asked what the noise in the trees was, and I was right, it was cicadas. At one point he jumped out of the car in traffic, grabbed a cicada off a light post and jumped back in the car. We had a few laughs and its pretty cool that human emotion goes beyond language barriers.

We then got back in the taxi and we went to the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. Im not sure how many more museums I can go to...haha.

Scarlett and I liked the jewelry and animals.

From the museum we went by taxi to the beach. I went into the water and it was glorious!! The water is so clear and so blue. It is unreal!

Once we were done at the beach we went back to the port by taxi. We are currently waiting for room service because we are tired out!
