More Barcelona Old Town

 

Tour of Barcelona Old Town

 This afternoon we did a tour of Barcelona's Old Town.

The Barcelona Cathedral in the Gothic Quarter. Restoration is covered with a big advertisement/

Today we did a tour of Barcelona's old part of town. It went for two hours and it was super hot! But we made it through and it was really cool. We stopped at a souvenir shop and went into some shops and grocery stores. Its super hot and we can barely find cold water! We went on the subway, I don't like the subway because of how it stops and go's. But it doesn't go that long. We are going onto the ship Saturday at 10:00, we are all really excited for the cruise. There is an 8 hour time difference so every time I want to talk to my friends I have to think about the time. Overall today was pretty good.  

Well that wasn't fun!

 We made it to Spain last night after more hours and waiting than I can even count. We had a good sleep though. Jason and I went out to buy a European Sim card for my phone, had my first cafe (aka coffee) at a Cafe down the street. I had it black with a tiny bit of sweetner and it was the best coffee I have ever had. Jason had a ham and cheese sandwich. There is no hair dryer and my hair is greasy from a no shampoo shower but it is what it is!!

Jason and I found a Supermarket where we bought things like razors, shampoo and conditioner, hair gel for Pieter etc. They had a whole section just for ham.

I can spot a sale in any country from a mile away! haha

We made it to Toronto!

 Once we landed in Toronto we headed to the VIP Lounge for some lunch. Thanks to the CIBC Visa, it was free!! We also picked up some Euros which are different sizes depending on denomination! Now we wait 10 hours to fly to London...not so much fun!

The Count Down Begins

Flight to Europe

We fly out of Saskatoon at 6am on Tuesday the 28th. We arrive in Toronto and have approximately a 12 hour layover. From Toronto we fly to London, England and have approximately a 4 hour wait. Finally we fly to Barcelona, Spain.

We will be in Barcelona for a few days and will board the Cruise Ship on July 2nd. Here is a sneak peek at our Cruise Itinerary!!
